The first phase of shooting of Shanthi Selandarajan’s film Pooja started in Pudukottai district.

The shoot of 888 Production’s first production venture ‘Santhi Soundarajan – The Sunlight Woman’ begun at Pudukkottai with a puja. This film is written and directed by Jayaseelan Dhavaputhalvi and it is based on the life of Santhi Soundarajan, a track and field athelete who won the Silver medal for India at the 2006 Asian Games. Mentionably, Santhi Soundarajan herself and the ADSP of Madurai S. Vanitha atteneded the puja .
