Chennai 31 January 2026 With deep gratitude I accept the Tamil Nadu State Film Award .I sincerely thank the Government of Tamil Nadu, the respected jury members, and the State Film Awards team for this honour. This recognition from my home state means more to me than I can express in words.

My heartfelt thanks to Vijay Sethupathi Productions & Tribal Arts, and to Mr. Vijay Sethupathi, for believing in Kadaisivivasayi and standing behind a film rooted in honesty and compassion. I am deeply grateful to my director, teacher, and writer M. Manikandan for trusting me with Magistrate Mangayarkarasi. His quiet strength and clarity gave me the space to live this character truthfully.

I thank my co-artists, with a special mention to Nallandi ayya, whose presence enriched every frame, and the entire technical and creative team. From performance to sound, costume to cinematography, each one of you shaped this film with care. This award belongs to all of us.

I feel especially proud that Kadaisivivasayi has been honoured with four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, a reflection of the soul and sincerity of this story.

Most importantly, this award is for the audience who embraced the film and loved Mangayarkarasi. Your affection gave the character a life beyond the screen, and I share this recognition with every one of you.

For me, this is not just an award — it is a deeply personal moment from Tamil Nadu, my home. I once promised my family I would get state first in my 10th standard — a promise I knew I wouldn’t keep. Life, however, had its own gentle humour and brought me a State Award through cinema instead.

I receive this milestone with gratitude, joy, and responsibility.
