From ‘Sirai’ to a Crime Drama… Actor LK Akshay Kumar Begins His Next Action-Packed Journey!

Chennai, 23, September  2026: Young actor LK Akshay Kumar, who captured the attention of audiences with his performance in Sirai, has begun his next film today with a traditional pooja ceremony. Known for choosing diverse storylines and exploring different dimensions of his acting in every film, LK Akshay Kumar is now set to headline another distinctive project. The film, which is being made as a crime drama, has also commenced shooting today.

Produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, the film has L. K. Vishnu Kumar serving as Co-Producer. Alongside LK Akshay Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Chetan will be seen in prominent roles.

The pooja ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry, including directors H. Vinoth, Siva, R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, Suresh Rajakumari, and Vignesh Vadivel, as well as producers R. K. Selvamani, T. Siva, G. Dhananjayan, Five Star Senthil, Five Star Kalyan, Arun Viswa, Sabari, and Vijay, along with cinematographer Arthur Wilson and other members of the film fraternity. They extended their wishes to the entire team.

The film is directed by debutant filmmaker Vishnu Amaran, who has previously worked as an assistant director to acclaimed filmmaker H. Vinoth. Vishnu Amaran has been part of H. Vinoth’s films, including Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai, and Jana Nayagan. With this project, he now embarks on his journey as a director.

The film also boasts a talented technical crew. Saravanan Ramasamy is handling the cinematography, while Hesham Abdul Wahab composes the music. Kalaivanan R. is responsible for the editing, while Aarthi Neelakrishnan takes care of the costume design. P. S. Hariharan is the production designer, and Ambani (ADFX) is handling the publicity designs. The action sequences are choreographed by Action Santhosh. Manikandan serves as the Executive Producer, while Arun K. serves as the Creative Producer.

The film will be shot across Chennai, Kodaikanal, and Kolkata. Built around diverse settings and distinctive characters, the film is being crafted as a crime drama that promises to offer a fresh experience to audiences.

LK Akshay Kumar, who garnered attention for his performance in Sirai, subsequently appeared in a completely different role in Raavadi. His character in the film, particularly as showcased in the teaser and promotional videos, caught the attention of audiences. His distinct appearance as a college student reflected his approach of choosing varied characters in every film.

Now, moving into a completely different space from Raavadi, LK Akshay Kumar is taking on a crime drama with a new storyline and character. His journey of consistently exploring fresh stories and avoiding repetitive roles continues with this yet-to-be-titled film, which is set to be another distinctive addition to his filmography.

Directed by debutant filmmaker Vishnu Amaran, the film has already generated curiosity with its grand launch, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the team.
