In the recent years, comedy capers with a good quality have become a genre of scarcity in K-Town. Precisely, the genres like cold-blooded crime thrillers, spine-shuddery ghost stories have started expanding its domain, which has made cinema halls, a hub of stress. But guess what? As the year comes to the end, the audience are going to experience a superb stress buster as Rio Raj-Ramya Nambeesan starrer “Plan Panni Pannanum” directed by Badri Venkatesh is all set for worldwide theatrical release on December 30, 2021.   Director Badri Venkatesh states, “The pandemic phase has imposed a severity of stress, and there needs to be laughter therapy for the audiences to enjoy. I am sure the audience will have a great time watching Plan Panni Pannanum in the theaters.”

Having mentioned the term ‘Theater’, filmmaker Badri Venkatesh extends his heartiest thanks to his producers Rajesh Kumar and L Sinthan for making it happen. “I have no words to describe their firmness and determination. It might look like a stereotypical statement, but still, that’s the fact. Comedy is the need of the hour in theaters, and our movie will gratify the audiences to the core,” adds Badri Venkatesh.

Speaking about his experience working with the star cast, Badri says, “Many have been asking me if there are any adult comedy elements in the film. When I have an actor like Rio Raj, who has won the hearts of family audiences, especially kids, it would be unfair to ruin his image. Moreover, I have a daughter, who is sixteen, and it would be an indignity as a father to include such factors.  All that I can say is PPP is a clean entertainer, and the audience will enjoy the movie thoroughly. When it comes to Ramya Nambeesan, I would label her as a ‘Disciplinarian’, and then an artiste. She is keen on the little details, and her punctuality was inspiring. Bala Saravanan is an asset to this film, and his sense of humour has added lots of magic to this comedy caper. I thank MS Bhaskar, Robo Shankar, Thangadurai, and all the actors for being a great support. PPP is my fourth movie with Yuvan Shankar Raja, and his golden touch has elevated the film to a greater extent. I thank my technical team for their earnest efforts.”

Plan Panni Pannanum is directed by Badri Venkatesh and is produced by Rajesh Kumar-L Sinthan of Positive Print Studios LLP. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music, B Rajaekar has handled cinematography, and SAM RDX is the editor. Plan Panni Pannanum is all set for the worldwide theatrical release on December 30, 2021.
