Iniyavan, who made his debut in Tamil cinema through the film ‘Gauri Manohari’ hails from a small village in Tanjore district, Tamil Nadu. His passion for music, made him participate in various concerts since his childhood.
Through his hard work and dedication, he gained the confidence and good working relationship of Kavignar Vairamuthu. In his composition, veteran singers like S. P. Balasubramaniam, KJ Yesudas, S Janaki and Chitra have sung many songs for the lyrics penned down by Kavignar Vairamuthu.
In 2004, in the presence of Former Chief Minister Dr Kalaignar, his composition for Kavignar Vairamuthu’s Poem Collection ‘kavithaiye Paadalaaka – 1’, was well received and appreciated for his on stage composition and orchestration skills. Subsequently, in the year 2007, Kavignar Vairamuthu’s ‘Kavithaiye Paadalaaka – 2’ poem collection also brought him accolades besides Tsunami Song Collection that was released in the same year. In 2009, he composed an elegy sung by Veteran Carnatic Vocalist Sudha Raghunathan penned down by Kavignar Vairamuthu that was a global soul stirrer.
He has composed over 2000 songs and has conducted various international concerts. Right now, during this tumultuous curfew, this Corona Awareness song, written, composed and sung by him was well received.
