Chennai, August 23, 2026: Directed by debutant filmmaker Vignesh Srikanth, Once More is a film centred on love, emotions and entertainment.
The film stars Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar in the lead roles, with popular model Sona Olilkall playing a pivotal character.
With the film all set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 28, the trailer launch event was held in Chennai in a grand manner in the presence of the film’s cast and crew, along with several prominent personalities from the film industry and members of the press and media.
Director and Producer Ira Saravanan said:
On August 28, Anbe Diana will premiere on OTT, while Once More will release in theatres.
This is a very important day for my friend and producer Yuvaraj. Although I had no involvement in Anbe Diana, he included me as a producer out of his affection for me, and I will always value that gesture.
When I watched Once More, I found it so beautiful, almost like poetry, that I pleaded with him to somehow include my name in the film.
I have always liked Arjun Das when he plays a villain. But in this film, he has excelled as the protagonist and hero. His dedication is truly commendable.
Aditi Shankar is one of my favourite actresses. When I came to know that director Shankar’s daughter was entering the film industry, I was extremely happy. When she was making her debut, I spoke to Sivakarthikeyan and suggested that it would be great if she made her debut alongside him. Later, she made her debut in a Sivakarthikeyan film, and that made me very happy. Aditi has delivered a wonderful performance in this film as well.
Producer Yuvaraj has become a very close friend of mine. After gaining his friendship, all my other friends seem to have disappeared, such is the closeness we share!
I wish Once More to become such a huge success that audiences themselves ask for ‘Once More’ in theatres. I sincerely wish this film brings a tremendous success to my close friend Yuvaraj.”
Actress Kala said:
Once More reminded me of my college days. It brought back so many memories that I found myself wishing, ‘I wish my college days had been like this too.’ The film feels like an unforgettable college memory, and director Vignesh Srikanth has brought it to life beautifully.
I always enjoy watching Arjun Das as a villain, and he has performed exceptionally well in this film. Aditi is one of my favourite actresses, and she has also delivered a beautiful performance.
My heartfelt wishes and thanks to everyone who has worked on this film.”
Music Composer Hesham Abdul Wahab said:
After Hridayam in Malayalam, Once More is the Tamil film that I enjoyed working on the most. This is my first film in Tamil, and we worked on the entire album with tremendous enthusiasm and joy.
The director has created a beautiful story that everyone can easily relate to. Everyone who worked on the film has put in tremendous effort.
I would like to thank all the musicians who worked with me. My thanks also to lyricist Srikanth for writing the songs.
The songs from the film are already being celebrated by audiences. I believe these songs will continue to be enjoyed by audiences even with the passage of time. Thank you.”
Actress Sona said:
Today is a very important day for me. I have been eagerly waiting for Once More. My heartfelt thanks to director Vignesh Srikanth and producer Yuvaraj for giving me the very important character of Indira in this film.
Arjun Das was extremely supportive of me. He would make me happy by bringing me lots of food! Aditi also became a wonderful friend to me right from the first day of the shoot. My thanks to her as well.
I would like to thank all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked on this film. Just like all of you, I too am eagerly waiting for August 28. I sincerely believe this film will be loved by everyone. Thank you.”
Producer Yuvaraj Ganesan said:
“I have been waiting for this day for a long time. Director Vignesh Srikanth and I have been eagerly waiting for this moment. We had fixed several release dates for the film earlier, but due to various reasons, they did not work out. But this time, the film is definitely releasing in theatres on August 28.
From the very moment the director narrated the story, he worked with the determination to do something different in every scene. This film will be a great showcase of his talent and will serve as an important milestone in his career.
Since this is a musical film, we discussed the choice of music composer with several people. Finally, we met Hesham Abdul Wahab, the composer of Hridayam, and requested him to take up the project. He has delivered music that is even better than what we expected. Audiences will certainly celebrate his music.
Aditi Shankar plays a very important role in this film. After watching Maaveeran, we approached her. Compared to the remuneration she received for that film, she agreed to act in this film for a considerably lower remuneration and extended tremendous cooperation to us. I sincerely thank her for that.
Likewise, there would be no Once More without Arjun Das. His dedication and support are among the film’s biggest strengths. This is a film that is very close to his heart. He thoroughly enjoyed playing the role.
He never worried about his call sheet or anything else. Whenever we called him, he came and worked with complete dedication.
The dedication and hard work of all these people are the strength of Once More. I would also like to thank director-producer Ira Saravanan for his support and all my team members who worked alongside me.
Please watch Once More in theatres from August 28. Thank you all.”
Director Vignesh Srikanth said:
I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. There are times when we have to go through tears, and there will also come a time for happiness. This is that happy moment for me. Once More is releasing on August 28.
I dedicate this film to director Mani Ratnam. It was by watching his films that I developed the desire to become a director. This film is my love letter to him.
I thank my father, mother, relatives and friends from the film industry who supported me throughout this journey. My thanks also to producer Yuvaraj Ganesan, who travelled with me and produced this film.
From the very first day I began writing this film, Arjun Das was the only actor in my mind. I wrote the character of Raghu keeping him in mind. He has completely lived as Raghu in this film.
His performance felt even fresher and more wonderful during the editing process than I had imagined.
I would also like to thank Aditi Shankar. Despite several difficulties during the shoot, she supported us wholeheartedly and delivered a wonderful performance.
My thanks to Sona, who plays the character of Indira. This is the debut film for both of us. We had both been waiting for this day for a long time, and I am extremely happy that the day has finally arrived.
Music plays a very important role in this film. Hesham Abdul Wahab, the composer of Hridayam, has scored the music for this film. His music has taken the film to another level. The visuals and music blend so beautifully that they cannot be viewed separately.
My thanks to the cinematographer, editor, all the technicians and my assistant directors.
This is my first film, and I sincerely hope all of you will love it. Please watch Once More in theatres on August 28 and extend your support. Thank you.”
Actress Aditi Shankar said:
“First of all, I would like to thank producer Yuvaraj Ganesan for bringing a film like Once More to the screen and for introducing a talented director like Vignesh Srikanth.
I received this film during a very difficult phase of my life. Coming to the sets and living each day as Anjali while shooting this film felt like a form of emotional medicine for me. It gave me tremendous positivity and happiness. That is why this film is very special to me as well.
Hesham Abdul Wahab, the composer of this film, has been one of my favourites ever since Hridayam. He has given me a beautiful song in this film, and it is a song that is very close to my heart.
Sona, who has acted in this film, is a wonderful actress. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her performance, and I wish her many more good opportunities in the future.
When I first saw Arjun Das at an Anirudh concert, I was a fan who asked to take a photograph with him. He smiled at me then. Now, I am very happy to have acted alongside him. He has become a very good friend of mine.
I am sure audiences will enjoy seeing Arjun Das in a completely different character. Please celebrate him as a lover boy in this film as well. He will definitely win your hearts.
Once More is a beautiful drama, and I sincerely believe everyone will enjoy it!”
Actor Arjun Das said:
When Vignesh Srikanth first came to narrate the story to me, he initially told me only the one-line. I liked it very much. He then said that he would prepare the complete screenplay and come back.
But there is something he did not tell me at the time. After preparing the screenplay, he pitched the story to several production companies. Many of them told him, ‘Why should Arjun Das play the hero? Why not cast another hero instead?’
But Vignesh stood firm and said, ‘Only Arjun Das can play Raghu in this story. I will make this film only with him.’
I would like to thank director Vignesh Srikanth for standing by me and believing in me completely. There were even times when I did not think I could pull off the character of Raghu. But he had complete faith in me.
I know how important this film is to him. After completing the film, all of us moved on to our next projects. But even today, he continues to stand by this film. This is his debut film, and I am certain that its release on August 28 will showcase his talent.
I had watched Hridayam, and I really loved Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music. I called him and appreciated his work. At that time, we had spoken about working together on a film soon.
When Vignesh narrated this story, I suggested approaching Hesham because it is a musical film and music plays a very important role. He immediately agreed after hearing the story and has given extraordinary music for the film. My thanks to him.
Vignesh had imagined the character of Indira in many different ways and kept talking about Sona. Finally, Sona came on board as Indira, and she has performed wonderfully. She has also become a great friend.
This film will give her a strong identity.
Likewise, Aditi Shankar brought exactly the kind of energy this film needed. On the first day of the shoot, she addressed me as ‘Vaanga sir’, but from the very next day she became so close that she started calling me ‘Vaadi’! Her friendship means a lot to me.
Despite facing many challenges, producer Yuvaraj Ganesan stood firmly with the determination to complete the film. My thanks to him and to Million Dollar Studios.
I pray that this film becomes part of the success story of the company. I wish Yuvaraj Ganesan a tremendous success with this film.
Once More is a beautiful film that tells a genuine story of love. It is a film that is very close to my heart, and I am certain that all of you will love it. Thank you.”
Pan-India music sensation Hesham Abdul Wahab makes his debut as a music composer in Tamil cinema with Once More.
Cinematography for the film is handled by Aravind Viswanathan, while Rajkamal has taken care of the art direction. Nava Rajkumar is the costume designer.
Produced by Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner of Million Dollar Studios, Once More has generated considerable anticipation among moviegoers.
The film is all set to hit theatres worldwide on August 28, 2026.
