Actor Arun Vijay’s “Retta Thala” to release worldwide on December 18, 2025!!

Chennai 08 November 2025  Produced by BTG Universal, Retta Thala marks the company’s third venture. Starring leading actor Arun Vijay and directed by Krish Thirukumaran of Maan Karate fame, the film is a stylish action entertainer set to release worldwide on December 18, 2025.

From the time of its announcement, the film has created huge expectations. The teaser received an overwhelming response from movie lovers and fans alike. Now, the film team has officially announced the release date, exciting fans even more.

Blending stylish action and romance, Retta Thala promises to be a colorful entertainer. Arun Vijay plays dual roles, portraying two contrasting characters in his trademark intense style.

The film stars Arun Vijay in the lead, with Siddhi Idnani playing the female lead. The cast also includes Tanya Ravichandran, Harish Peradi, Yogesh S, John Vijay, and Balaji Murugadoss in important roles.

Mr. Bobby Balachandran, a global stalwart in the fields of data privacy, cyber forensics, and software technology, forayed into Tamil cinema through his production company BTG Universal. The banner’s earlier productions include: The blockbuster horror film “Demonte Colony 2”, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and starring Arulnithi, and The critically acclaimed “Chennai City Gangster”, directed by Vikram Rajeshwar and starring Vaibhav and Athulya. Following these two successful ventures, Producer Bobby Balachandran has now produced Retta Thala as BTG Universal’s third film, mounted on a grand scale, making it one of the biggest films in Arun Vijay’s career.

The post-production work is in its final stages, and official announcements regarding the music and trailer launch will be made soon. Retta Thala is set to release worldwide in theatres on December 18, 2025.
