Actor Music Director G.V. Prakash Kumar Turns Lead Actor, Sean Roldan Takes Charge of Music for ‘Ninja’ Shooting Begins in Thanjavur!

Chennai 24 August 2026 Some collaborations instantly spark curiosity, and ‘Ninja’ brings together two of Tamil cinema’s celebrated musical talents in an exciting new avatar. G. V. Prakash Kumar, who was initially onboard as the music composer, now steps into the lead role, with Prarthana (Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil-Love Today-Parking fame) playing female lead, while acclaimed composer Sean Roldan takes charge of the film’s music. Written and directed by Murugu, the film is produced by S. Sai Devanand and K. S. Sinish under the banners of Soldiers’ Factory and Learn and Teach Production.

The shooting of Ninja commenced today (August 24) in Thanjavur, with the production beginning with a traditional pooja ceremony held at Sripathy Cinemas. The first schedule is planned for 20 days, marking the beginning of a fresh cinematic journey featuring a new combination of talent both in front of and behind the camera.

K. S. Sinish has previously produced the National Award-winning film ‘Parking’, while he is also simultaneously producing another project titled ‘Superhero’ starring Arjun Das and Sandy. It is worth mentioning that Learn and Teach Production (Production house behind Pa. Ranjith-Arya’s ’Vettuvam’).

The biggest talking point surrounding Ninja marks an interesting shift in their respective creative roles and adds to the curiosity surrounding the project. The film also features Jenson Diwakar, Radha Ravi, Dheepa Ramanujam, Devadarshini, and Kalyani Natarajan, adding a strong ensemble of performers to the project.

The technical crew comprises Harish Kannan as Director of Photography, Ganesh Siva as Editor, Gopi Anand as Art Director, Priya Ravi as Costume Designer and Dinesh Kaasi as Stunt Director. With Sean Roldan composing the music and Murugu at the helm, the film brings together an intriguing mix of experienced talents and fresh creative voices.

With a fresh combination of G. V. Prakash Kumar, Sean Roldan and debutant director Murugu, Ninja promises to be an exciting addition to Tamil cinema’s upcoming slate. Produced by S. Sai Devanand and K. S. Sinish under Soldiers’ Factory and Learn and Teach Production, the film has now commenced its first schedule in Thanjavur, with further updates on the project to follow.
