Chennai 10 January 2025 Filmmaker Vishnuvardhan’s movies have always been synonymous with stylish filmmaking and riveting storytelling. He is all set to make his comeback in the Tamil film industry after a long hiatus with ‘Nesippaya’ starring Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar in the lead roles. With the film hitting screens worldwide on January 14, 2025, for the festive occasion of Pongal, shares interesting facts about the film.

Director Vishnuvardhan starts by stating, “Breathing air in your home industry is always an uncompromising pleasure, and that’s what I experienced throughout the materialising of Nesippaya. After completing my Bollywood project ‘Shershah’, I wanted to direct a film based on a small story premise that kept exciting me for a long time. Coincidently, I happened to meet Akash Murali during that time, and we just discussed it casually, which in turn, excited both of us. After watching the final cut, both of us and, of course, the entire team are so happy with the way it has shaped up. During the shoot, Akash Murali’s acting nuances kept surprising me for it was on par with experienced actors. Naturally, he has the genetic factor and his insatiable passion for delivering the best performance is admirable. Aditi Shankar is a cool artiste to work with. This is the first time, I am getting an opportunity to work with the best actors like Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Khushboo Sundar, Raja, Kalki Koechlin, Shiva Pandit and many others together in a film. I believe that the film will be a visual treat for the cinephiles in theatres as 90% has been shot in foreign locations in Spain and Portugal. Well, my closest pal Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music has always complimented my films, and we are excited to work together on this project. My special thanks to cinematographer Cameron Eric Brison and the stunt choreographer crew for translating my vision into beautiful visuals. I thank my producers Xavier Britto and Sneha Britto for facilitating the finest space for creative freedom to make this film.
