CHENNAI, India—July 31, 2026—Prime Video, India’s most-loved entertainment destination, today unveiled the captivating trailer for Vadhandhi Season Two—The Mystery of Mani, the highly anticipated next chapter of its critically acclaimed Tamil Original series. Created, written, and directed by Andrew Louis and produced under the banner of Wallwatcher Films by Pushkar and Gayatri as creative producers, the eight-episode series stars M. Sasikumar in the lead as SI Moosa Raza, alongside Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma, and Arjun Nandhakumar in pivotal roles. Vadhandhi Season Two—The Mystery of Mani will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in Tamil with dubs in Telugu and Hindi and subtitles in 15 languages, including English, across India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide on August 7.

The trailer draws audiences into a tense new investigation, with every step towards solving the case uncovering an even darker mystery. Set against the culturally rich backdrop of Madurai, where tradition and investigation collide amid the raw energy of the iconic Jallikattu festival, the story unfolds with the discovery of skeletal remains at the site of a highway project that leads M. Sasikumar’s SI Moosa Raza, an honest and relentless police officer, to an elusive prisoner named Mani. But what appears to be a murder investigation soon spirals into something far more unsettling as Moosa sets off in pursuit of the truth, putting him on a collision course with public perception, media frenzy, politics, and human frailties. As he digs deeper, buried secrets begin to surface, setting the stage for a suspenseful tale of guilt, secrets, rumors, and redemption where the truth proves to be far more complicated than it first appears.

Creator, writer, and director Andrew Louis said, “At its heart, Vadhandhi has always been about questioning what we choose to believe and the uncomfortable truths we often choose to ignore. The positive audience response and critical acclaim for the first season were incredibly heartening and paved the way for the next chapter in the franchise. With season two, I wanted to craft a mystery that goes beyond uncovering a crime to explore how power, silence, and deeply rooted systems shape our perception of justice. Setting the story in Madurai gave us a culturally rich and emotionally charged world that became integral to the narrative. Sasikumar, along with an exceptionally talented ensemble cast, brought remarkable honesty and depth to their performances, elevating every character and the emotional weight of the story. I’m deeply grateful to Pushkar and Gayatri, and to Prime Video, for their unwavering support and belief in this vision. I hope audiences are not only gripped by the mystery and enjoy the journey but also continue to reflect on the questions the story raises long after it ends.”

  1. Sasikumar, who plays the role of SI Moosa Raza, said, “What drew me to Moosa Raza was his unwavering sense of integrity. He’s a man who believes that justice is meaningless unless it’s built on the truth, even when pursuing it comes at a personal cost. What fascinated me most was exploring the man beneath the badge—his quiet resilience, vulnerability, and the moral dilemmas that constantly test his convictions. Every step of his investigation forces him to confront difficult choices, making this as much an emotional journey as it is a gripping mystery. Working with Andrew Louis, Pushkar, Gayatri, Prime Video, and such a phenomenal cast and crew made the experience incredibly rewarding. I hope audiences connect with Moosa Raza’s journey, immerse themselves in unraveling the mystery alongside him, and stay with the story long after the final revelation.”
